In light of yesterday’s horrific murder, the Office of the Commissioner for Children urges the relevant authorities to take necessary action to prevent such tragedies from happening again. The courts should immediately be provided with adequate resources to deal with such cases in a timely manner so as to limit the negative impact on children and their families. Increased efforts should be made to implement more effective preventive measures.
